The program equips students with both scientific knowledge and a multifaceted, personal understanding of plants, empowering them to bridge the gap between traditional herbalism and modern science.
This degree is the first of its kind. The program equips students with both scientific knowledge and a deep understanding of plants. Graduates are prepared to enter the herbal products field directly, begin work as botanical medicine experts, or pursue further education in related areas.
Herbal science studies the biological and biochemical properties of plants, fungi, and other natural substances. It is a growing field based on the perceived benefits of herbal products over – or in conjunction with – modern medicine. Herbal compounds are held by specialists to be more effective for long-term and preventative usage. This degree course teaches the students with both scientific knowledge and a multifaceted, personal understanding of plants, empowering them to bridge the gap between traditional herbalism and modern science
In order to achieve this goal, the course combines the concepts of Biochemistry, Genetic Engineering, Biology, and other related subjects. The program is in demand as there is a constant demand for quality food and plants for medicinal purposes and Herbal Sciences are required to achieve this goal.
Herbal Science degree holders have plenty of opportunities in some of its specialized fields such as Herbal Medicine, anthropology, Acupuncture, Naturopathy, Health Sciences, botanical medicine, etc.
Upon completing this course, and your payment plan has been completed, you will be conferred a Bachelor of Science in Herbal Sciences (B.S.), and you will be professionally recognized as a Certified Herbal Scientist (CHS), and a Certified Master Herbalist (CMH). You will be Board Certified by the American University of Holistic Sciences' Holistic Health and Wellness Certification and Accreditation Board . Details will be included with your course materials.
